粵語俗語以「講耶穌」一詞形容冗長而沉悶的教誨，這或多或少也反映了香港社會對基督宗教的負面印象：傳福音就是囉嗦、使人生厭。
本書《物語神學》正是要對症下藥：受當代日本哲學的物語哲學啟發，物語神學主張，福傳的本質，正是要將「聖道物語」（聖經的敘事）與「人為物語」（文化傳統甚至其他宗教的敘事）結合，建構出作為人關於上帝的物語的「統合物語」，以提出讓人容易理解與接受的信仰敘事，以應用於宣教及跨宗教對話。
作者介紹
譚家博，香港中文大學哲學系文學士、英國杜倫大學哲學系文學碩士，英國格拉斯哥大學神學與宗教研究系博士，目前在日本學習日語，專長為文化哲學、宗教哲學、歐陸哲學、東亞哲學及本色化神學。
