黃博士教育經驗豐富，尤其擅長教授英文、美國文學及教育，他的研究興趣是聖經中的文學及語文藝術元素。

​

黃博士在香港出生及成長，於美國史丹福大學取得學士及碩士學位後，再於美國哈佛大學取得教育文憑，最後於英國倫敦大學完成博士學位。

 

黃博士熱衷教學，曾於1980年在台灣國立大學及東海大學任教；於1985轉職香港大學，教授英國語文及文學。同時，黃博士亦參與香港、澳門及中國的英文老師培訓近20年。

 

2012年中黃博士於香港大學退休後，仍繼續教學及寫作，於香港大學專業進修學院教授文學，於天梯使命團教授聖經文學，並在中國各地主領英文老師培訓。黃博士現有著作、翻譯及編輯書本20部。
