Masters Seminar ─ “Spiritual Realities in a Post-Modern World"

We live in an age of techno-magic, or perhaps, techno-natural. An age in which technology is increasingly empowering stories in the form of superheroes, spiritual powers and forces, as well as fantasy living.

Increasingly youth express beliefs in magic, shape-shifters, vampires, superpowers and the like. While CGI can make anything in our imagination appear as real as we are on our devices and screens, the question remains: Are there genuine spiritual forces and powers and, if so, how do they interact with one another in real life, and not just on our screens?

In the times of the Bible, people believed in similar powers, many of which are recognized and challenged. In this seminar we will explore our contemporary techno-natural world in light of a biblical framework, asking questions such as “What is real?” and “How should we respond?”
